Age is just a number, character isn't

I was visiting the Duchess today and she showed me a picture of me and my sister, Tracey, as little girls. I didn’t have my phone with me otherwise I might have taken a picture. We were in the backseat of the car and it was the night our brother, Glen, graduated from high school-mid 1970s.

Glen just turned 68. Our other sister is 66. Tracey would be turning 60 on the 20th of this month had she not died a few years back. I will be 55 in January.
To her right now, age is just a number and I will always be the baby/youngest no matter how old I get.
And you know what, she’s right. Age is just a number. I hate cliches but in this case it fits. What counts is character.
My daddy, bless him, would say what counts is what’s in your heart not on your driver’s license. (Not those words but the meaning.)
Saying all this to be encouraging and invite you to remember during this time we are living in, to be accountable for your own words and actions, to be kind, to be open minded and more than anything to love as Jesus did and does.
Complaining all the time or being negative all the time just doesn’t mean a lot but will make people start hiding from you.
Be of good character.
You can do all of this at any age.
Don’t know if this made sense or why I wrote it, but I did.
Maybe someone needed to hear it.
